9 Ways You Can Profit During The COVID -19 Pandemic

At the time I’m writing this, the coronavirus pandemic is raging across the world, and I’ve seen many people share their thoughts and opinions on it.

But I haven’t seen information on what someone can do during these difficult times to make money for their family’s food and bills.

So in today’s post, I want to quickly share with you how you can take advantage of the situation to make some money while others do nothing but watch TV, regardless of your circumstances.

When you implement what I am going to show you below, you get cash fast – some within days.

Not all of them help you grow long-term assets, but each one is a solid way for you to make money by leveraging the situation on hand.

If you do it right, you might even make more money than most people earn in a year’s time, so why worry about long-term?

I’m going to keep this short, because I want to get this post out quickly.

If you have any questions or need some input, comment below and I’ll try to get back to you.

Without further ado, let’s dive straight into it.

Method #1: Deliver Food

This is the fastest way to make quick bucks.

Deliver food for food delivering companies like Uber Eats, Grubhub and Food Panda.

You might not find them in your city – but there are probably similar companies around you. Just Google for them.

When people are scared to go out, they will order food at home.

And guess what? These companies’ businesses will skyrocket.

Most of them are understaffed to deal with the sudden surge in demand, and they are hungry to get more people to work for them.

To apply as a driver, just hop over to their website, sign up online, consent to a screening, upload the required documents and you will most likely be approved in a few days.

Once you get the green light, you can begin to receive delivery requests.

Depending on which city you are in, these guys pay differently.

For example, when an UberEats driver works for 40 hours a week in the bigger US cities, they can expect to get paid $1000+.

That’s more than $4000/month, not a bad deal at all.

Method #2: Join your local hypermarket or grocery store

Google up and you will see almost all of the major grocers in every city are hiring more as canned goods, boxes of pasta, toilet paper and other essential items continue to fly off the shelves.

While other businesses are laying off staff, the hypermarket and grocery stores are finding it hard to keep up with their booming business.

At the time I am writing this, Wal-Mart is using higher wages, referral bonuses and an expedited hiring process to try to fill about 150,000 jobs in the US.

The same thing is happening in the rest of the world.

When people are put under lockdown, they need food and other household products.

Not to mention panic buying.

Check out you local hypermarket or grocery stores and see if they have any vacancies available. More likely than not, you will find plenty.

Method #3: Offer your services online

Don’t like to deliver food or get a job in the grocery store?

Then work from home and sell your skills over the Internet.

As companies are firing to reserve cash during the pandemic, many are now turning jobs over to freelancers who can work remotely on a project-by-project basis.

Good news if you have a skill like coding, writing, accounting, design or any other relevant ones.

This will be highly beneficial for you not just for these few months, but also in the future as the economy moves towards a pandemic induced recession.

Think of what skill you have that you can deliver to businesses remotely, and offer it all over the place.

There are tons of freelancing platforms online. Google them up; some of them even send jobs straight to your inbox without you having to bid for them.

Method #4: Teach what you know online

Have something to teach?

Record your lessons, upload them to Teachable or Kajabi and reach out to your potential students by running ads on Facebook.

Chances are, they’ll jump at the opportunity, having been stuck at home for weeks.

This is a great money making option for people like teachers, coder, digital marketing experts, fitness instructors and personal development coaches.

Who knows, you might even make it with an online teaching business in the future.

Here is a success story for you:

When the governor of Pennsylvania closed all gyms due to coronavirus, Zumba instructor Alycia McFarlin offered her Zumba classes online.

Her online workouts ended up helping her reach even more students than her in-person classes.

Plus, she discovered that her online classes are 200% more profitable as compared to working as an instructor and being paid hourly.

Check out Alycia’s story here.

Method #5: Sell T-shirts on Facebook

This Facebook post was published 2 weeks ago and went viral.

It now has over 3000 comments and 8000 shares. Think of how many shirts this guy managed to sell.

Selling t-shirts on Facebook is a smart business model during this time.

Why?

People are emotionally connected to frontliners like nurses and doctors who are out there saving lives. Their family and friends will also be extremely proud of them.

If you can get a shirt with the right quote that resonates with them, people will not hesitate to share and buy it.

There are around 3 million nurses in the US alone; think of how many potential customers you have.

What about doctors, police officers, the national guard and the army reserve, all contributing to help fight the epidemic for their country?

Here is another thing to take advantage of now: Facebook CPMs are down 80%.

Businesses are not running ads as actively as they used to. This means Facebook ads are dirt cheap at the moment.

Method #6: Start an Amazon product review site

At the time I am writing this, Amazon said it plans to hire 100,000 warehouse and delivery workers in the U.S. amid a surge in online orders due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Online stores are taking over as cities are locking down.

What can you do to get yourself a share of the cake?

Become an Amazon affiliate and get paid commission when people buy through your affiliate links.

There are a gazillion products on Amazon; you can promote anything from a gaming mouse to a yoga mat.

Here is one great thing about promoting products sold on Amazon:

Once people get there, they tend to buy other things as well – not merely what you sent them there for.

You can be rewarded with more than one sale per click through. You may even get multiple sales through a single visitor whom you persuade on your review site.

This adds a lot to your commission.

Amazon marketers Wanda and Paula once revealed in their book that on one month, they got 2,292 sales on Amazon.

Of those 2,292 sales, 524 were for products that they were promoting.

The other 1,768 sales were products they didn’t promote in any manner – not even a single mention.

They actually picked up more sales for unrelated products than for those they promoted.

This is a massive bonus and helps marketers make a lot of money with a commission of just 4-8.5%.

On this page, I show you how you can make Amazon affiliate marketing work for you here.

Method #7: Start a YouTube Channel, and post daily updates on what’s happening in your city

If you’re still allowed to go out, start a YouTube channel and update people on what’s going on in your city every day.

When you do this, you resonate with the people staying around you, and when that happens, they can’t help but share it.

This will get you a lot of attention, and fast. Like this video:

Getting your first surge of traffic is super easy. With Facebook ads, you can target users based on their city.

Just pay $5 in daily ads and show your YouTube videos to those staying in your city.

The viral effect will kick in quickly, and soon, you’ll be growing your subscribers naturally.

The good news is, very few people want to bid for ads in the specific city you are living in. Plus, most businesses aren’t running ads now – they’re shutting down.

Therefore, you can drive a ton of traffic for just $5 a day.

Take advantage of it.

There are 2 reasons your channel will pop.

One, the media focuses mostly on national news – not at the city or county level. To your city’s residents, your unique “adventure” will immediately stand out.

Two: most people are currently staying at home. And they’re super curious about what’s happening outside. What do the streets look like? What about the rail, commuter and airport? How about the famous restaurant and the market?

Don’t worry; your fans will quickly grow beyond where you are living. Especially when you have 1-2 hit videos like this.

Monetizing your channel is easy, just sign up for Google Adsense, insert 1-2 ads in each of your videos and get paid.

P.S. If you are doing this, remember to get a good N95 face mask to protect yourself.

Method #8: Start a Covid-19 FAQ blog

Pandemics of this scale happen very rarely – once every 100 years or so.

This means that most people who are living right now have no idea what’s going on.

They have lots of questions going on in their mind. So they Google for answers and the searches go parabolic.

Coronavirus related searches are simply crazy right now – and is unlikely to stop anytime soon.

Some say it will last for the next 6 months; others estimate it will take a whole year. Thus, you will have a lot of time to leverage on this topic.

Here is what you can do:

Set up a website, go to Quora, look for frequently asked questions related to the virus, curate them and post them on your site.

The info is all there, and you need to do very little thinking. Just take what you see and write it in your own words.

Make your site as the go to place for resources about the situation.

Remember to buy an aged domain that helps your site to rank way faster on Google.

Monetize your blog with Adsense and Native Ads like like Taboola, Outbrain, and Revcontent.

In short, leverage on the heavy traffic searches at the moment and monetize your site with ads.

Method #9: Sell Face Masks

This method is straightforward, buy low, sell high.

Apart from China, face mask prices are rising in almost every country.

If you are staying outside China, this is a sure win method for you.

The steps are simple: Buy masks from Aliexpress, get a one-page Shopify site up and sell.

If you find Shopify messy to set up (which I do), use Wix to set up your site to collect credit card and Paypal payment. To me, Wix is so much easier to get up and running.

As this is a must-have product for most people, you don’t have to worry about getting buyers; they are everywhere.

If your city has cases, target them to the people in your vicinity, and you’ll have sales rolling in.

Heck, even if you don’t know a thing about running Facebook ads, just get a few calls around. Your friends and family will spread the news for you.

If you know how to run Facebook ads, here is super effective trick to make your ad go viral: Run giveaways on Facebook.

When you give people a chance to get face masks for free, everyone seeing your post will share the offer with all their connections.

And their connections will do the same.

Loads of people will see the post in less than 24 hours.

This is the beauty of a giveaway – it makes your Facebook post go viral fast. Even though it’s a giveaway offer, many viewers will buy without waiting to see if they won.

In these times, getting them to pull out their credit card is a no-brainer.
